Law Brings Peace to Costa Rican Exporters Who Take Their Products to the United Kingdom
Costa Rican exports to the United Kingdom represent 10% of national sales to the European market. During 2018, this represented around $191 million, including exports of products such as banana and pineapple. With Brexit’s deadline just around the corner, Costa Rican congress approved a Central American agreement that will protect the commercial conditions previously negotiated with the EU, thus guaranteeing these products’ fares and terms and clarifying related legislation.
